The full terms and conditions for Lyd be Bakin are set out below.
These terms form the basis of the contract between the customer and Lyd be Bakin. It is the responsibility of the customer to check all details in the order confirmation are complete and accurate as this is the document referred to when completing your order.
PRICES
Following an enquiry an invoice will be produced and sent over to the customer outlining details 0f the order and price. The invoice will also state a payment due date which must be adhered to. A 50% deposit is required upfront at the time of booking to confirm the order. Once your order is ready you will receive a notification message advising that the outstanding balance is due. Completion of payment will verify that all customers have read, understood and accecpted terms and conditions.
DESIGN ALTERATIONS
All bespoke designs for cakes and cupcakes will be agreed upon during the enquiry stage, once finalised and agreed all details will be outlined on the order confirmation form. Should there be any requests to alter your design a minimum of 2 weeks' notice is required. Lyd be Bakin reserves the right to refuse any alteration requests if it is deemed there is insufficient time to create the extra detail, source the specialist items or for any other reason. In the instance that alterations are accepted a revised order confirmation form will be sent which may incur additional charges depending on the revised design.
CANCELLATIONS
In the circumstance that an order should need to be cancelled, the cancellation must be placed 28 days prior to the order date in writing. A full refund of the deposit will be made provided no costs have been incurred in supplying the order. Should there be costs incurred these will be assessed and deducted from the deposit refund accordingly.
No refund will be offered for cancellations less than 28 days.
ALLERGIES & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Please disclose at the time of order if you have any special dietary concerns. Full allergen information will be provided on the order confirmation form. The ingredients for my cakes, cupcakes, cookies & brownies are likely to contain:
Gluten, Eggs, Milk, Peanuts, Nuts & Soya.
Please be aware that although ingredients such as nuts can be removed from bakes they are still used in my kitchen and I cannot 100% guarantee that all bakes are free from traces for those who have severe allergies.
ARTIFICIAL FOOD COLOURINGS
The following artificial food colourings may be present if certain food colours are being used for an order:
E102 (tartrazine)
E104 (quinoline yellow)
E110 (sunset yellow FCF)
E122 (carmoisine)
E124 (ponceau 4R)
E129 (allura red)
These artificial food colourings may have an adverse effect on the attention and activity of children.
NON EDIBLE DECORATIONS
Some cakes/cupcakes may require non-edible decorations in order to fulfil your requirements. These can include dowels, dried stems, cocktail sticks, dried flowers, and plastic figurines. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all of these items have been removed from the cake prior to consumption. All non-edible decorations present shall be outlined clearly on the order confirmation form.
DELIVERY & COLLECTION
Free delivery in and around Reepham is available. Delivery is then charged thereafter please see the charges below:

Full details of name and address will be required accurately with any further information regarding location. In the situation that the order is set to be delivered and no one is present to take the cake, the cake will be returned to Lyd be Bakin premises and it is then the customer's responsibility to arrange a suitable time to collect it. There will be no refund for the delivery charge incurred. No cakes/cupcakes will be left out on doorsteps.
Alternatively, orders may be collected from my premises. The address will be supplied at the time of booking. The collection date and time slot will be arranged and agreed upon.
TRANSPORTATION
Once the order has left the premises Lyd be Bakin is not liable for any damage that has occurred during transit. Cakes are fragile and customers must adhere to transport instructions to prevent any damage to their cakes.
Cakes need to be transported on a flat surface such as a foot well or the boot - not on someone's lap or the seat. Please ensure during the summer months you have the air conditioning on so that your order is not subject to heat damage.
STORAGE AND BEST BEFORE DATE
Unlike supermarket cakes, all of the cakes made by Lyd be Bakin are made with fresh ingredients and do not contain any additives or preservatives. It is advised that cupcakes are consumed either on the day of collection / the following day. Larger celebration cakes will remain fresh for 2-3 days after collection.
Once your cake has been cut wrap any leftover cake in clingfilm and store it either in the fridge or an airtight container. Please ensure to take your cake out of the fridge 1-2 hours before you intend to serve.
